Position Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Carpenter to manage on-site production, preserve structural and aesthetic quality, and lead residential remodeling projects from setup to completion. This role blends advanced hands-on finish carpentry with job site leadership, trade partner coordination, and client communication. The starting pay for this position will be based on the individual’s experience with regular pay increases based on job performance.
Job Description:
- Execute advanced carpentry including high-end cabinet installation, finish trim carpentry, and custom built-ins.
- Lead and run job sites day-to-day, maintaining safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, architectural designs, and construction plans accurately.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, preparing the site for their work and ensuring their output meets our standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to monitor schedules, budgets, and material deliveries.
- Manage on-site communication with clients, answering questions and maintaining a professional company image.
- Perform structural tasks including framing (limited structural framing experience is highly valued).
- Handle essential physical labor including demolition, job site prep, and general cleanup when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter, Remodeling Foreman, or Senior Carpenter.
- Deep background in remodeling, specifically kitchen and bath projects.
- High proficiency in all aspects of interior trim, finish carpentry, and custom furniture installation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct junior crew members, apprentices, and trade partners.
- Problem-solving mindset to effectively handle unexpected structural or design challenges on-site.
- Cabinet building experience is a major plus.
- Valid driver’s license
