We are seeking a reliable and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to various schools in Gaston County and adults to healthcare locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and effective communication with passengers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles for shuttle driving, delivery, or paratransit services in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure timely, never late pick-up and drop-off of passengers at designated locations.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their needs during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules and any changes in routes or passenger needs.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a shuttle driver or bus driver, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform pre and post vehicle inspections tasks on vehicles daily.
- Have a reliable iphone or android that can function transportation apps.
- Trustworthy of not utilizing company equipment for personal use.
Job Type: Full-time
