American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and a Louisiana state license, with first-time travelers welcome.

Acute care hospital setting on general medicine floors within a regional referral center
-
Patient population is primarily geriatric with high acuity diagnoses in an acute environment
-
May float to other general medicine floors within the hospital

Day shift schedule: 8:30–17:00 (occasionally 8:00–16:30)

5x8-hour shifts per week with 4 weekend shifts per month; specific weekend schedule discussed during interview

13-week contract

Current Louisiana state PT license required (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued)

Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required

Acute care or general medicine hospital experience required

Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

In the event of a declared emergency, staff may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team until the event passes
