We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Handyman / Property Maintenance Associate to help maintain our nine-room bed-and-breakfast. This person will handle the day-to-day manual labor needed to keep the inn, grounds, and guest areas safe, functional, clean, and attractive.
The ideal candidate is practical, self-motivated, and comfortable completing a variety of indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks. Because work may take place around guests, professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail are essential.

Perform routine household repairs and general property maintenance.

Identify maintenance issues and communicate needed repairs to management.

Complete basic repairs involving doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, shelving, and other household items.

Perform routine yard work, including mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, watering, raking, and general grounds cleanup.

Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including preparation, patching, sanding, priming, and cleanup.

Move furniture, supplies, equipment, and other materials as needed.

Assemble furniture and install basic household items.

Maintain walkways, porches, patios, storage areas, and other guest and staff spaces.

Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in good condition.

Assist with seasonal property maintenance and special projects.

Complete other general labor and maintenance tasks assigned by management.

Ability to perform routine household repairs and use common hand and power tools safely.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, stand, and work on your feet for extended periods.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Experience with drywall patching and repair.

Previous handyman, property maintenance, landscaping, facilities, construction, or general labor experience.

Experience maintaining hospitality, residential, or rental properties.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if required for the position.
This is a physically active position involving both indoor and outdoor work. Duties may require lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and using hand or power tools. Some tasks may need to be completed while guests are present, so the employee must work neatly, safely, and with minimal disruption.
