Looking for an entry level restaurant position. Scheduled shifts may include Salad-Dessert Making, Food Running/Expediting, Busing Tables, Dishwashing, and other cleaning duties for McGee's Scot-Irish Pub in Anderson, SC.
This starter food service position is well suited for the following: a young person's 1st job or an active retiree looking to supplement their income or start a 1st or 2nd career in a professional full-service restaurant environment.
Candidates looking for a temporary 2nd job (3-6 mo) will also be considered.

We are a family friendly work place * No required over time (38 hours per week max with the exception of St. Patrick's Day week) * 2 consecutive days off per week * all major holidays off (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, 4th of July) * 3 weeks vacation annually (details will be discussed)
Position Reports to: Dining Room Coordinator, Senior Wait/Bartending Staff.
· Works with Head Chef, Sous Chef, Line Cooks, & Kitchen Aide/Dishwasher (6 person kitchen crew)
· Should be a proficient in the following stations: Dish Pit, Salad/Dessert, or Expo during heavy weekend volume.
· When closing, work station should be left properly cleaned, sanitized, & stocked for opening shift the next day
Summary of Position:
Help with guest seating and performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including front line expediting. Some dishwashing fill-in work required as scheduled.
* Knows and complies consistently with our quality standards and kitchen rules & restaurant policies and procedures.
* Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line station to assure a smooth service period.
* Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, & coolers
* Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
* Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
* Closes the kitchen or dining room station properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen and/ ir host stations as scheduled.
* Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to multi-task under pressure & work with a “sense of urgency” at all times.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
