Position Summary
Cuauhtemoc Café is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, takes pride in preparing quality food, and works well in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is available for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Assist with food prep, stocking, and inventory management.
- Properly store and label food items.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and notify management of supply needs.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
