iGlobal Security is seeking an experienced and professional Senior Retail Security Specialist (Armed Security Officer) to represent our organization on the frontline of retail loss prevention and protection.
This is a high-visibility, uniformed role in which professional conduct, a commanding physical presence, and confident communication are your primary instruments. As the face of iGlobal Security's retail operations, you will project authority, maintain order, and ensure a safe and secure environment for store personnel and the public alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive Deterrence — Maintain a commanding, highly visible uniformed presence on the sales floor and/or near the entrance, serving as a decisive deterrent against theft, vandalism, and criminal activity.
- Incident De-Escalation — Professionally manage and defuse any volatile situations through authoritative, composed, and measured verbal communication, resolving incidents before they escalate.
- Surveillance & Monitoring — Conduct systematic floor patrols (where applicable) and continuous surveillance to identify, assess, and respond to suspicious behavior and potential safety hazards. Focus is key.
- Asset Protection — Safeguard company assets, store personnel, and patrons by upholding rigorous security protocols and enforcing site safety standards without exception.
- Firearm Compliance — Responsibly carry and maintain an issued firearm in strict accordance with all applicable licensing conditions and iGlobal Security's policies.
- Emergency Response — Function as the primary first responder during onsite incidents, providing decisive direction and executing emergency protocols with composure and professionalism.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing — Current and valid Armed Security license and MD Guard Card, with all conditions satisfied and maintained
- Experience — Demonstrated experience in retail security, asset protection, loss prevention, or a closely related security and/or law enforcement discipline
- Communication — Exceptional verbal communication skills; calm, assertive, and authoritative under pressure with a measured and professional approach at all times
- Physical Capacity — Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods within a dynamic, retail environment
- Certification — Current First Aid / CPR / AED certification preferred; willingness to obtain upon hire optional
