Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and welcoming
- Follow all sanitation protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots, crates of supplies, or bulk dishware safely and efficiently
- Maintain proper food handling practices in compliance with food safety management standards
- Support overall kitchen health and safety standards by adhering to safety guidelines and reporting hazards promptly
Requirements
- OPEN SCHEDULE. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS & FILL INS
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling practices are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting the kitchen staff
