Design for civil and structural projects at power plants for today's leading energy providers.
- Design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components and other equipment supports. Conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations, specification development, and seismic analysis.
- Develop 3-D analytical models utilizing FEA analysis techniques and response spectra seismic analysis
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years RECENT COMMERCIAL NUCLEAR experience.
- MathCAD or MatLAB.
- Finite Element Analysis software, no specific one
- We are seeking candidates for Sr Eng level who has held a previous design verification qual/cert with commercial nuclear projects under 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs.
- MathCAD Prime as well as GTSTRUDL experience is a must for Senior level engineers.
- Ideally, candidates will be able to perform piping analysis per ASME B31.1 as well as structural analysis is a plus.
- Need a candidate who is ready to jump into preparing and reviewing documents for pipe supports, building structure modifications, rigging load evaluations.
- Steel per AISC Allowable Stress Design (known as ASD) approach (the older code years that commercial nuclear commonly uses).
