Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children between the ages of 2-6 years old with behavioral health needs, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their goals through effective behavioral therapy techniques and data collection.
Duties
- Adhering to full-time afternoon schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:30pm.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist client(s) in developing skills for daily living and social interactions.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately.
- Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavior management.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information.
- Document medical information and progress notes in compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health.
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health practices.
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress effectively.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis principles and methodologies.
- Ability to assist clients compassionately while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Competence in medical documentation practices related to behavioral interventions.
