Job Overview
Veritas is seeking a Senior Heavy Equipment Claims Specialist to produce physical damage estimates for tractor-trailers, coordinate with partners in the field, communicate with and service clients effectively, and facilitate ultimate resolution and satisfaction on transportation claims. The right candidate will possess significant knowledge and experience in this respective field, effective interpersonal communication skills, advanced critical thinking skills, and practical time management skills.
Summary
Having serviced commercial transportation claims effectively for a decade, Veritas is looking to expand upon the highly skilled and experienced staff we currently have. Our clients have come to expect an elite level of service and subject matter expertise on a consistent basis. The right candidate for this position will possess a high degree of relevant experience and be able to easily convey this knowledge and information to outside parties, including clients. Comprehensive knowledge of physical damage to tractor-trailer units is essential.
Responsibilities
- Write accurate and timely estimates on physical damage to tractor-trailers
- Coordinate effectively with partners in the field to yield timely and valid results
- Communicate in a professional and eloquent manner with outside parties, namely clients
- Engage in critical thinking and problem solving to meet client expectations on difficult files
- Appropriately manage full to heavy case loads
- Identify and clearly convey information needed to partners in the field
- Maintain elite level of quality on all files, including work done by outside partners
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling Heavy Equipment Claims. Prefer 5+ years of experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working for an insurance carrier.
- Significant level of experience and knowledge in commercial transportation physical damage claims
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills
