Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to help oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards.
Duties
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate project execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as Prolog and Primavera for project tracking and reporting.
- Review schematics and contracts to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure safety compliance on the construction site.
- Implement project estimating techniques to assess costs and resource requirements accurately.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status for stakeholders, highlighting milestones achieved and potential risks.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction project management or a related field.
- Proficiency in construction management software including Bluebeam and Primavera.
- Strong understanding of schematics, contracts, and construction estimating practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site as required, demonstrating a hands-on approach to project management.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards is essential.
