Job Summary & Essential Functions
Work alongside design, test, and new product introduction engineering departments to build and repair test fixtures, evaluating and updating test procedures, and provide general assistance to design and test engineering.

Work with technicians on the floor to troubleshoot down to the component level, troubleshoot test cells, and fixtures

Build, perform maintenance, and repair text fixtures as required

Assist engineers with the design of test fixtures

Work with engineering team on prototypes

Troubleshoot and repair test computers

Write test procedures as needed

Work with electronics technicians and provide training for test procedures
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
-
Soldering skills, rework with through hole and SMT components
-
Knowledge of IPC-A-620, IPC-A-610, ESD 20-20

Knowledge of digital and analog circuits
-
Knowledge of electronic circuits and theory
-
Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies, including Ethernet and TCP/IP

Knowledge of mechanical systems

Intermediate ability to build prototypes and wire systems
-
Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
-
Abilities in schematic capture and electrical design
-
Ability to use schematic capture software to modify schematics
-
Ability to use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, 4wire LCR meters, etc.

Intermediate troubleshooting skills down to the component level for both analog, digital, and embedded circuit/systems

Proficient PC skills sets to include both software and hardware

Intermediate level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside and outside the organization

Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results

Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment
Required Experience & Education

Associates’ degree in related technical field
