The Clinical Primary Nurse is responsible for individual goal-directed nursing care through the processes and principles of nursing practice, in accordance with Company policies and procedures. As a Clinical Primary Nurse, you are responsible for multiple aspects of patient care and follow-up. Though this is not a physically patient-facing role, your diligence in providing high quality patient care “behind the scenes” is paramount to the positive patient experiences and outcomes we strive to provide at Digestive Health Clinic.
Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient
· Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used medications, action, dose and side-effects
· Demonstrates knowledge of practice policies for ordering, transcribing, and recording medications
· Evaluates the identified problems; care provided and patient response are reassessed to assure overall quality of care provided and meet patient’s needs
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided to assure integration of information used to provide quality care
· Assures inter-agency referral forms (labs orders, radiology procedures, other tests), and orders are complete and accurate
· Reviews charts to assure laboratory, imaging, and pathology reports are addressed by the physician and information is relayed to the patient
· Pursues professional growth and development; maintain up-to- date, current knowledge base
Educational Requirements:
· Graduate of a professional nursing program with Idaho Nursing License (LPN/RN) current and in good standing is required
· Maintains current CPR/BLS certification
· Two years of clinical or office experience is preferred
Skills:
· Good communication and verbal skills
· Basic computer skills
· Utilizes nursing process, interprets physician orders, and communicates clearly with patients, families, physicians, staff and other customers
Details
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
- No evenings, weekends, on-call or major holidays
- Location: Boise
- Pay dependent on experience/education, starting at $34/hr
