Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our dedicated cleaning team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and hospitality standards. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, floor care, and custodial tasks to meet established standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens; place orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while accommodating peak periods and special events
- Enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around guest activities or special projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial management, with a strong background in janitorial services or industrial cleaning
- Demonstrated expertise in floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, waxing, and surface maintenance
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of housekeeping staff
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in quality control inspections
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively
- Previous supervisory experience in housekeeper management or related roles is highly preferred
