Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on machinery, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes quickly.
- Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks across various systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical devices.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing skilled maintenance support and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Use technical schematics and diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex maintenance or repair projects to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system updates for accountability and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Experience in construction or facility maintenance projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors effectively.
