Duties
- Lead the installation, wiring, and commissioning of industrial and commercial electrical systems, ensuring adherence to electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Diagnose electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and power tools, providing swift resolutions to keep projects on track.
- Install and maintain high-voltage electrical wiring and motor control equipment, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately execute system layouts and modifications.
- Perform routine electrical maintenance on industrial motors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and other critical equipment.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of installation and troubleshooting to protect yourself and team members from hazards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, frame carpentry skills, and construction site experience to complete installations efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system installation.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical building codes, and safety procedures.
- Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading for accurate system setup.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, motor control equipment, industrial motor maintenance & repair, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with testing instruments such as ohmmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, and other power tools required for precise diagnostics.
- Ability to work confidently on construction sites with strong adherence to electrical safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and interpreting technical documents effectively.
- Valid certifications in electrical work; experience with industrial motor maintenance or construction site experience is highly preferred.
