Overview
We are seeking a part-time motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our new Bissinger's location in Macy's Herald Square. Job applications are available at the store if you would like to walk in and apply in person.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions.
- Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves effectively.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store cleanliness.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced customer interaction.
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities.
- Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
