Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and educational activities
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior in the classroom
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure the safety of all children
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
- Previous experience in early childhood education, nannying, or infant care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and appropriate teaching methods for preschool-aged children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to manage a classroom environment and maintain discipline while promoting a positive learning atmosphere
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
