Monarch Life Skills & Play Center is a small family owned and operated clinic in Debary, Florida. We are constantly growing and looking for a fun and passionate COTA to add to our team. We are looking for part-time with plenty of room to grow. Flexible schedule available with an opportunity to expand hours. Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during therapy sessions.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology and medical terminology to support effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Engage with patients in therapeutic activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
- Educate patients and their families about home exercises and strategies for daily living.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
- Experience in pediatrics, home health, or clinic settings is preferred..
- Proficiency in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
