Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hard working Painter to join our longstanding and growing painting company. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help our company efficiently complete projects while ensuring a high-quality finish that meets client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restoration to new construction, as well as a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless and conventional sprayers), and power tools to achieve smooth, even coverage.
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting, including sanding, masking, and surface repairs on various materials such as stucco, masonry, drywall, and wood.
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment safely to reach high or hard-to-access areas while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Perform structural painting tasks on beams, frames, fixtures, and other structural elements to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained for optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, or related construction projects with a solid understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and power tools required for various painting applications.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations including respiratory protection standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates.
- Experience with renovation projects, framing carpentry, caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, masonry, or welding is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching using visual color comparison techniques; knowledge of color theory is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform ladder use safely, stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Construction site experience combined with good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Pay: $23.50 - $28.00 per hour
