J.O. Roofing Inc. is growing and dedicated to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. We are seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team and support our continued growth.
Position Overview:
The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and assisting the sales and operations teams in delivering successful roofing projects. The ideal candidate has strong industry knowledge, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site roof inspections and measurements
- Prepare accurate estimates for residential and/or commercial roofing projects
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Prepare proposals and present estimates to customers
- Track and update project costs and revisions
- Assist in sourcing materials and maintaining vendor relationships
- Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company pricing strategies
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of roofing estimating experience (required)
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Roofr, RoofSnap, AccuLynx, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with both residential and commercial roofing
- Knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must
