Our central fabrication lab in Merrillville, IN is currently seeking a talented and dependable Fabrication Technician to join our team.
Join our team with this entry-level, full-time position that requires minimal experience. We provide on-the-job training to help you succeed. Our central fabrication lab hours are 8am-7pm, Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to contribute a few overtime hours per week. Take the first step in your new career journey with us.
Job Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair custom prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Utilize sawing, carving, cutting, and grinding techniques on wood, plastic, and metal
- Using various hand tools and materials, including sheet plastic and fiberglass
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Colloborate with our team to ensure efficient production
- Demonstrate attention to detail and craftmanship in every project
Requirements:
- Mechanical inclination
- Flexibility to travel to other company locations if needed
- Reliable transportation
- Organizational, time management, and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Handyman experience is a plus
- Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and machinery
