American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring VT or compact license and 5+ years of experience.

Work in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting
-
Combined PCU/Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
-
Night shift schedule of 7p-7a
-
Every other weekend rotation required
-
Floating to other units required as needed
-
Active RN license (VT or Compact) required upon acceptance

Current certifications: BLS and ACLS

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required

Critical access hospital, PCU, and Telemetry Med/Surg experience preferred

Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties

Perform charge nurse duties as part of standard responsibilities

Located in Newport, Vermont, a small town in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border
-
Area offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling

Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit

Required to attend department quarterly education sessions

Support provided throughout transition to the new community and role
