For forty years McMinnville Montessori has served McMinnville and surrounding communities located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, approximately 30 miles from Portland, OR. Our school consists of a primary house (ages 3-6) with two classrooms and one elementary house that includes lower and upper elementary students.

Entry Requirements:
Experience working with young children
Must be Aide II qualified, Teacher Qualified preferred
MUST be currently enrolled in the Criminal Background Registry
Must have or be willing to get within first 30 days:
CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers Card, Child Abuse/Neglect Training and Introduction to Health and Safety.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout the day
Responsibilities:
*Support and participate in an agreed upon approach to guidance, consistent with Montessori philosophy and psychology for the primary age child.
*Classroom preparation, which includes general cleaning, inventory of supplies, helping to arrange the furniture and activities, preparing morning snack, and assisting/supporting the Guide.
*Assist the children in the development of independence. This may include supporting children in choosing purposeful activities; dispensing supplies; helping a child with toileting; assisting children with their communication or helping them resolve conflicts; indicating where to wait for the guide when necessary; reporting any abnormal or unusual situations to appropriate staff or administration.
*Develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with children and coworkers.
This position is Full time, Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM. This job requires someone who is at least aide II qualified through experience.
The hourly wage for this position is $19.50 per hour.
