Abbey Placements is looking for a CPA (Staff Accountant) for a public accounting firm in the Bloomington, IL area.
Description of CPA (Staff Accountant)
- Assist with planning and preparation of individual and business tax returns
- Assist with audit, review, and compilation engagements for non-public, non-profit, and governmental entities
- Prepare financial statements and assist with annual state, federal, and regulatory filings
- Manage time effectively to meet due dates for all client deliverables
- Develop client relationships while addressing requests and communicating progress
- Full time, direct hire position
- 1st shift position
Requirements of CPA (Staff Accountant)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under supervision of senior staff
- Commitment to continuing education and staying current with regulatory changes
- Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check
- Reliable work history with good references required
Compensation of CPA (Staff Accountant)
- $75K-$80K per year
