AIS Construction Equipment is the oldest Michigan owned and operated heavy equipment company in the state and has been serving customers for over 60 years. We are looking for a Construction Technology Service & Support Representative in lower Michigan. This team member will represent AIS in the market according to our company values which include helping our customer to become more profitable by providing equipment, service, and support to meet their needs. This position can be based in Grand Rapids, Lansing or New Hudson and combines office-based responsibilities with regular fieldwork at customer locations and job sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, training & troubleshooting for grade control systems, survey equipment and other construction-related technologies via phone, email, and in-person
- Assist the sales group with support, demos & training for several different manufactures of technology products
- Collaborate with AIS staff to address machine control issues
- Diagnose and resolve issues with installed grade control systems, perform updates if necessary
- Attend manufacturer training classes and events to improve knowledge of products
- Perform training classes on drone solutions and offer technical support for drone-related services
- Promote and update training schedule to internal employees and customers
- Maintain rental and demo equipment
- Work with internal staff on customer invoicing
- Maintain records of phone support & on-site support through company CRM
- Be proficient at using TopCon office software
Requirements
- 2- to 4-year degree OR equivalent experience
- Knowledge of heavy construction equipment/technology preferred
- Some technical background and tool knowledge
- Strong computer skills
- High-energy and positive individual with excellent customer service
- Self-motivated individual capable of developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas
- Ability to build strong, lasting relationships of mutual understanding and trust
- A strong sense of urgency to provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction
- Tenacity and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done
- Hold/obtain a Part 107 pilot's license and be knowledgeable on current drone related-laws
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Valid driver's license with good driving record

Pay: $70,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
