Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a love for learning. The School Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to support the academic and social development of each child. This position will work with our after school children ages 5-12. The hours are 12:00PM to 6:00 PM.
Duties
- MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE A 12 PASSENGER VAN!! You will drive to different schools to pick up the children.
- Create lesson plans that engage students in active learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs or requiring early intervention.
- Foster literacy education through reading, writing, and communication activities.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational practices.
- Supervise students during various activities, including physical education and recess.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Experience working with children in various educational settings, including daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices, including Montessori methods.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to provide tutoring in subjects such as math or literacy education.
- Experience teaching physical education or managing classroom dynamics effectively.
