Veterinary Receptionist – Affordable Animal Hospital (North Hollywood)
Affordable Animal Hospital in North Hollywood is hiring full-time and part-time experienced Veterinary Receptionists. The primary responsibility of a Veterinary Receptionist is to provide exceptional customer service to every client and patient that visits our hospital.
We are seeking motivated individuals with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills who thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment. Veterinary Receptionists serve as the first point of contact for our clients and play a critical role in ensuring a positive experience while maintaining efficient hospital operations.
The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking while providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and their pets in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls according to hospital protocols
- Schedule appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Check patients in and out, including obtaining accurate client and patient information
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Build and present treatment plans and estimates to clients
- Maintain and update patient medical records
- Refill prescriptions according to hospital protocols
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and fellow team members
- Assist in managing hospital flow to ensure efficient patient care
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including email and mail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and exam rooms
- Process end-of-day reports and assist with daily deposits
- Provide accurate information and education to clients while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Resolve client concerns professionally and courteously
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary receptionist experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods and emergencies
- Knowledge of Avimark veterinary software preferred
- Experience handling multiple phone lines and appointment scheduling
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Passion for animal care and client service

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Experience:
