Responsibilities

- Design and decorate a variety of cakes for special occasions, including weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, adhering to customer specifications.
- Prepare baked goods and pastry items, maintaining consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance.
- Manage food production processes, including ingredient handling, portioning, and packaging to ensure freshness and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen standards.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their design ideas and provide expert guidance on cake decoration options.
- Train team members in cake decorating techniques, food handling, knife skills, and safety procedures to foster skill development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or culinary arts within a high-volume food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and food safety management systems.
- Skilled in baking, food preparation, and using various decorating tools and techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a kitchen or bakery setting; ability to motivate and supervise staff.
- Familiarity with packaging processes for baked goods to ensure product integrity during delivery or pickup.
- Prior catering or restaurant experience is highly desirable to thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment.
