EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position focuses on helping families improve safety, stability, and overall well-being. The work builds skills through training, case review, and professional guidance. As a County Caseworker 1, you will perform the following duties:

Intake Screening: Receive and review referrals from phone, walk in, and electronic systems, verifying information and documenting findings; maintain intake logs and statistics

Client Interviews: Conduct interviews with clients and collateral contacts to gather social histories and assess family needs

Service Coordination: Determine eligibility for services, make referrals, and support families in planning for improved functioning and child well-being

Protective Monitoring: Identify risks, monitor alerts, and provide supportive services for abused or neglected children; may attend court proceedings

Case Documentation: Prepare reports, studies, records, and correspondence to maintain accurate case information
Work Schedule and Additional Information:-
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 1-hour lunch.

On-call 24/7 on a rotating basis.

After training, employee may have irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to coincide with consumer needs.
