Landscape Construction Crew Leader
Doering Landscape Company is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Crew Leader to supervise and work alongside a landscape construction crew. This position is responsible for completing high quality residential and commercial landscape projects safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a crew completing landscape construction projects, including planting, grading, drainage, hardscapes, retaining walls, and site preparation.
- Review plans, organize daily work, assign crew responsibilities, and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Communicate with project managers regarding progress, material needs, site conditions, and any necessary changes.
- Operate trucks, trailers, skid steers, mini excavators, and other landscape construction equipment.
- Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and ensure company equipment and tools are properly used and cared for.
- Train and supervise crew members while maintaining Doering Landscape’s standards for workmanship, professionalism, and customer service.
Qualifications
- At least three years of landscape construction experience.
- Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of landscape installation, grading, drainage, planting, and hardscape construction.
- Ability to read landscape plans, take measurements, and determine grades.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. CDL is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
