Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamink healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. Duties
- Perform thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify urgent or critical needs.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, manage airway equipment such as ventilators, and provide advanced airway management when necessary.
- Document patient care accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology procedures such as sonography or mammography, and wound suturing.
- Coordinate discharge planning and case management for patients in various settings including hospice & palliative medicine, memory care, or behavioral health units.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as cardiology (including catheterization), infectious disease care, trauma medicine (Level I & II Trauma Centers), ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and emergency medicine to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or country.
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency room settings; trauma center experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care.
- Skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, tube feeding management, and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), or specialty certifications related to oncology or dialysis are advantageous.
