HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator

Key Responsibilities for the HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator:

Process and oversee multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and benefit withholdings

Reconcile payroll data and partner with Finance to support payroll reporting and audits

Manage compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and labor laws
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution

Administer new hire, termination, compensation, and employment status changes within HRIS and payroll system

Support employee relations including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management

Oversee HR programs including benefits administration, leave management, and employee engagement initiatives

Coordinate compliance training programs and maintain learning management platforms

Assist with policy development, employee handbook updates, and HR process improvements

Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements

Generate payroll, headcount, and workforce reports to support leadership decision-making
Qualifications for the HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator:

Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred

3+ years of experience in both Human Resources and payroll administration

Experience processing payroll and managing payroll-related compliance requirements

Experience with HRIS and payroll systems

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for payroll reporting and analysis

Working knowledge of labor laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and employment compliance requirements

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential information
