Job Overview
Work hours are flexible, you'll be called on an as needed basis. However, you can do this as a side job and have your own handyman business. Sometimes when we're busy we'll be able to offer you 40 hours a week, in slow seasons not so much. We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks on job sites, lots of heavy labor. The ideal candidate will have a strong stamina, the ability to work in a team environment, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including but not limited to framing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation.
- Load and unload heavy materials and equipment from trucks and job sites.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris and cleaning tools after use.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
- Handling heavy countertop slabs, cabinets, furniture, and packaged materials
- Disposing of heavy construction trash and waste into the dumpster
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately.
