Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team at Trinity Church/Trinity After School. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting children to and from our after-school programs, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit by conducting pre-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus, providing support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children regarding transportation schedules and any issues that arise.
- Monitor children's behavior while on the bus to ensure a safe travel experience.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement is required.
- Experience in school bus driving or commercial driving preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to manage children's behavior in a professional manner.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of buses is an asset but not mandatory.
