Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning by contributing creative ideas that meet dietary needs and preferences
- Follow food safety standards rigorously during food handling, preparation, and serving processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, adhering to safety regulations at all times
- Use proper knife skills and slicing techniques to prepare ingredients efficiently and safely
- Support catering events or special meal services with professionalism and attention to detail
- Ensure all food is stored correctly, rotating stock to minimize waste and maintain freshness
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or culinary roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures within restaurant or kitchen settings
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Experience in catering or serving is a plus; familiarity with the food industry is beneficial
