Western Slope Health Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our team! The Laundry Aide plays an important role in ensuring our residents have clean, comfortable clothing and linens while helping maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen is available for the proper care and comfort of residents.

Maintain linens in good repair and remove items with holes, stains, or other damage from service.

Collect resident laundry daily or as needed.

Label clothing for new residents as needed.

Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.

Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.

Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry services.

Maintain an appropriate inventory of laundry supplies.

Operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment safely.

Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and sanitary.

Report equipment problems or maintenance concerns to the Administrator.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED.

Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.

Basic math skills.
-
Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed.

Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred:
-
One year of laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or related experience.
Certification: No certifications required.
This position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, reading, and hearing. The employee will frequently operate industrial washers, dryers, and related laundry/housekeeping equipment.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The work environment is generally low to moderate in noise level and includes regular use of commercial laundry equipment and supplies.
