Position open for Class A Fuel Hauler driving for an owner operator leased on with UPT United Petroleum Transports. This is not a company driver position.
Take charge of transporting fuel safely and efficiently across designated routes. Looking for someone with at least 1 year fuel hauling experience. You will have your own truck no slip seating. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of specialized trucks, including tanker trailers, while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. As a vital part of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for delivering fuel products promptly, maintaining vehicle integrity, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, including tanker, transporting fuel.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and PPE.
- Drive route-specific deliveries across various locations while adhering to scheduled timelines and traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure mechanical safety, proper fluid levels, brakes, tires, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials like fuel, including proper documentation and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers hauling freight such as fuel or similar hazardous materials.
- Demonstrated ability to operate trucks confidently.
- Experience driving tanker trucks.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures at fuel rack and gas stations.
- Strong understanding of route driving logistics and safety regulations governing commercial trucking operations.
