Job Description:
Electrician II is responsible for maintaining, ordering, installing, tracking, and optimizing electrical equipment used in field operations. This position is in charge of the electrical system of a production area and provides day-to-day support with some assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Be available for 24-hour call coverage as part of a rotating schedule
- Change electric motors, sheaves, and belts
- Calculate sheave size to achieve desired SPM
- Utilize a hot stick to change line fuses and reset reclosers
- Run conduit and pull wire
- Install ESP surface equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair control panels
- Splice underground 6 VAC cable
- Maintain surge protective devices
- Install and maintain grounding systems
- Install POC’s
- Communicate issues to supervisor
- Keep assigned vehicle serviced, clean, and stocked
Skills and Qualifications:
Required Education/Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of applicable codes as they relate to the oil & gas industry
- Minimum three years of work-related experience

EHS Requirements
- PEC Safeland Certification obtained prior to beginning the role (cannot be older than 6 months)
- ANSI Z390.1-2017 instructor-led H2S training
Required PPE/Equipment (provided by contractor prior to commencing work)
- Applicable electrical tools / hot stick / high voltage gloves
- Safety glasses (ANSI approved)
- Steel toe safety shoes
- Hard hat
- H2S monitor
- SCBA (ProdOps and Drilling roles)
- Flotation device/life jacket (where applicable)
- Fire extinguisher
- FR clothing
- Task-specific PPE as required (e.g., hearing protection, chemical handling PPE, hot gloves, face shield)
- Truck with a utility bed (required)
- Applicable electrical tools/hot stick/high voltage gloves (required)
Location: Pecos, TX
Schedule: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Monday–Friday with a weekend rotation for call-outs and expected overtime. Must be available for 24-hour call.
Pay: $56.30/hr
Pay: $56.30 per hour
