Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Deli Cook & Cashier to join our gas station team. This position is responsible for preparing fresh food, serving customers, operating the cash register, and keeping the deli and checkout areas clean and organized. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing quality food and maintaining a clean workplace. Responsibilities Prepare and cook deli foods such as sandwiches, burgers, breakfast items, pizza, and other menu items. Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, efficient service. Operate the cash register and process cash, credit/debit, and other payments. Maintain accurate cash handling and follow company procedures. Keep food preparation areas, equipment, counters, and dining areas clean and sanitized. Follow food safety, health, and sanitation regulations. Properly store and label food and monitor food freshness. Restock deli supplies, drinks, and other products as needed. Assist customers with questions about menu items and store products. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Help with opening and closing duties. Work as part of a team to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Requirements
Previous food service, deli, cashier, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Must be dependable and punctual. Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle cash and operate a register accurately.
Must be able to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items as needed.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be at least the minimum legal working age for the position.
