Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Intake Housing Manager to lead efforts in connecting individuals and families with vital housing resources. This role is pivotal in coordinating intake processes, managing case files, and supporting high-risk populations, including those experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will bring energetic leadership, expert knowledge of housing assistance programs, and a passion for social service work. You will serve as a key liaison between clients, landlords, service providers, and community organizations to ensure seamless access to housing opportunities. Duties
- Participate in staff meetings and attend trainings as required.
- Respond to complaints from landlords and clients related to housing conditions and provide mediation as needed.
- Assist with Domestic Violence services as need.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
- Conduct research, outreach, education and public relations to build a pool of landlords and property management companies willing to rent to clients.
- Help clients identify potential neighborhoods where they wish to live, conduct housing searches, and negotiate with potential landlords on behalf of the client.
- Establish and maintain relationships with landlords, property management companies, realtors, public housing authorities, and permanent/supportive housing providers.
- Work directly with program and administrative staff to process all payment requests as part of the housing intervention. Ensure that all payments are processed and submitted on time.
- Work collaboratively with shelter case managers and other service providers to assist clients as needed during their move into permanent housing. Such assistance may include accessing rental assistance funds, moving costs, donated furnishings, and other basic household items.
- Maintain and update data tracking systems for rapid re-housing programs. Prepare monthly outcome and service activity reports.
- Conduct or coordinate inspections of potential housing units where clients will potentially reside.
- Provide tenant education including: tenant rights and responsibilities, housing discrimination andcommunication with landlord.
- Maintain a regular and open line of communication with landlords in order to assess the landlords' satisfaction with the programs and address any questions or concerns that landlords may have.

Requirements:
- 1 year experience working with Housing Programming and a setting working with
- homeless/diverse populations. Prefer BSW, BA, BS in human services field.
- Requires knowledge and belief in “Housing First” philosophy and strategies. Detail
- oriented to complete requirements of files and contract compliance. As well as,
- knowledge or understanding of tenant’s rights and responsibilities as well as
- “strengths based” case management.

Pay: $28,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
