As a CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and refining measurement programs to support receiving, in-process, and final quality inspections.
You will leverage various precision tools, such as vision systems, comparators, micrometers, and functional gages, while collaborating with team members and other departments to maintain high operational standards. Additionally, you will provide support for various quality-related tasks as directed by management.
Core Responsibilities-
Analyze engineering models and blueprints to develop CMM measurement routines.

Determine optimal measurement strategies for parts where specific datums are not defined.

Verify that all products and materials align with established print specifications.

Develop new CMM programs tailored to specific part requirements.
-
Modify and improve existing CMM programs to ensure accuracy.

Utilize precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators to measure components.
-
Help maintain a high standard of product quality by ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.

Document testing results and generate technical reports, including FAI, Gage R&R, and capability studies.

Identify and isolate nonconforming items to ensure they are processed through the proper NCMR channels.

Drive process improvements within the metrology lab by developing and maintaining controlled procedures.

Serve as a technical resource to help production and quality staff refine their measurement techniques.

Collaborate with management and Quality Engineers to define measurement standards and improve inspection methodologies.

Support the programming of various inspection systems, such as Keyence, SmartScope, and Starrett Comparators, following appropriate training.

Take responsibility for managing Metrology-related CAPA initiatives.

Contribute to Gage Design and Inspection planning during the introduction of new products.
Required Qualifications-
Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting blueprints, including a deep understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques.

Minimum of two years of professional experience in CMM programming.

Familiarity with ISO-13485 quality standards and 21CFR820 regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
