We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our Waste Free facility. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining our slitter rewinder machine for non‑woven roll media, as well as supporting production on our new laminating line arriving in the coming months. The ideal candidate has experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, is comfortable working on their feet, and can safely handle heavy materials throughout the shift.
This position also supports general warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, packaging, and material handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor slitter rewinder equipment for non‑woven roll media
- Perform machine adjustments to ensure proper tension, alignment, and product quality
- Inspect finished rolls for accuracy, quality, and proper labeling
- Wrap, package, and stage products for shipments
- Follow production schedules to meet daily output targets
- Load/Unload trucks, assist with shipping and receiving
- Move materials using forklifts/pallet jacks
- Complete basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and documentation
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
- Willingness to assist operator recycling equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Warehouse or machine operator experience preferred
- Experience operating slitter rewinders, laminators, or similar converting equipment preferred
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials for 8 hour days
- Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to learn new equipment
- Comfortable working around moving machinery and industrial equipment
- Basic computer skills for production entry and inventory systems
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in multiple areas of the facility
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
