Job Description:
The Enterprise Asset Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, integrity, and continuous improvement of the company’s asset management and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Working closely with operations, maintenance, and other business stakeholders, this role helps maintain accurate asset data, supports end users, develops reports and analytical tools, and contributes to process improvements that enhance maintenance planning, compliance, and operational efficiency across facilities, utility networks, and company-owned equipment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Administers and supports the day-to-day use of the company’s asset management and CMMS platforms to ensure reliable system performance and user adoption.
- Creates, updates, and maintains asset, location, labor, personnel, job plan, and preventive maintenance records in accordance with established standards.
- Performs data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities to improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of asset and maintenance records.
- Analyzes field activity, maintenance history, and asset information to ensure records accurately reflect operational conditions and completed work.
- Develops, prepares, and distributes standard and custom reports, dashboards, and planning tools to support preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance tracking, performance measurement, and decision-making.
- Partners with operations, maintenance, and business stakeholders to identify reporting needs, improve workflows, and recommend system or process enhancements.
- Supports end users by troubleshooting moderately complex system issues, researching root causes, documenting resolutions, and escalating issues as needed.
- Reviews and audits user access, maintains system documentation, and helps ensure appropriate controls, governance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develops user guides and training materials and delivers training to support effective use of asset management systems and related business processes.
- Assists with the implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of new technology solutions, integrations, and system enhancements related to asset and maintenance management.
- Ensures asset and maintenance data complies with internal standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory or safety expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Asset Management, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience.
- Five or more years of experience supporting asset management, workforce management, maintenance management, or related business systems and technologies.
- Experience administering or supporting asset management systems and CMMS platforms, including knowledge of system configuration, data structures, and user support processes.
- Strong knowledge of data quality management, reporting, and analysis, including experience working with complex datasets and database schemas.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or analytical tools to support business operations and maintenance planning.
- Working knowledge of system integrations, middleware, and APIs used to connect enterprise business applications and improve the flow of data across systems.
- Experience with AS/400 or other legacy enterprise systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, safety practices, and internal controls related to asset and maintenance management is preferred.
- Demonstrated adaptability, a collaborative mindset, and comfort supporting change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
