Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for an entry level Lab Technician for a chemical company in SW Chicago burbs. The lab technician will perform analytical testing in the quality control laboratory.
Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Analyze samples and report results in an accurate and timely manner to maximize quality production. Check that all test results are entered into the system in a timely fashion.
- Perform routine and nonroutine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate and finished products by use of ICP, wet chemical methods, physical testing, and other established procedures
- Perform daily calibrations to ensure that instruments are functioning properly. Report any instrument problems to the QC Shift Leader
- When working night shift, perform communication duties with Operations.
- Read checklist to determine testing needs/requirements. Complete ability to navigate through Lab system.
- Gain understanding of process testing, allocate tests results to appropriate production.
- Other duties as assigned by lab manager.
Years of Experience: 0-2 years
Education: BS in Chemistry or related
Shift/Travel: 12 hour rotating shifts
Compensation: $40K –$50K
Location: Southwest Chicago suburbs, IL
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
