Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly, manage reservations through OpenTable, and seat them efficiently as a host or hostess.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, while upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring timely delivery and attentive guest relations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and assisting in food preparation when needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations during busy hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and reservations management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest rapport and handle inquiries professionally.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate billing processes.
