Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment throughout your shift
- Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing stations and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ingredients
- Support the team during busy service times by bussing tables and clearing used dishware from dining areas
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during catering events or banquet services
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Basic understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing kitchen areas
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in catering, banquet service, or hotel kitchens is a plus but not mandatory
