Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Yard Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a wide variety of construction, industrial, and agricultural equipment within our yard. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery is operating safely, efficiently, and ready for use. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on construction machinery, farm equipment, and industrial tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other construction machinery safely within yard boundaries.
- Assist with fabrication tasks including welding, assembly, and equipment modifications as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports for all equipment serviced.
- Support tire service, heavy lifting tasks, and general yard organization to facilitate efficient workflow.
Skills
- Proven experience working with dealership service departments or in heavy equipment maintenance environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery, OEM parts, and farm machinery systems.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and HVAC systems related to industrial equipment.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, welding techniques, and soldering.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, alignment systems, suspension components, and diesel engines.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts and tractor-trailers.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
