We are searching for a Registered Nurse – Supportive Care to perform a variety of duties within agency and department policies and procedures, assume responsibility for the primary care of assigned Hospice and Palliative Care patients and families. Assess, develop, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care to maximize the comfort and health of the Hospice and Palliative Care patient and family. Responsible for identifying patient/family needs and for providing supportive care in accordance with the attending Physician’s orders, Plan of Care and Hospice and Home Care policies and procedures.
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Hours: 40 hrs. (full time)
Shift: 10a-6:30, 11a-7:30 or 12-8:30pm
We also have a 24 Hour Part-Time Weekend Shift 10:00am - 6:30pm opening
Travel: this position supports Hospice hospital patients across Southcoast campuses.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an NLN accredited school of Nursing is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- MA and RI License. (RI lic. may be obtained within 3 mos. of hire)
- Two years recent hospital, medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience required.
- Hospice & Palliative Care Certification upon eligibility or in 2 years.
- Demonstrated knowledge of I.V. pump, and central line maintenance preferred.
- Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the population of patients served.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is preferred.
Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza. Must provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
